In an effort to attract more young people, three industry groups have created a Website that promotes construction as a career.

The site, www.ConstructMyFuture.com, was developed by the Associated Equipment Distributors Foundation (AED), the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA).

Visitors to the site will find a truckload of information about specific construction careers ranging from president of a distributorship to project manager to line assembly person. Job descriptions and functions, tools of the trades, and salary ranges are posted, along with a list of schools - searchable by state - that offer construction training.

Besides providing nuts-and-bolts details about construction careers, the site shows students that construction can be an interesting and rewarding career.
