A ribbon cutting ceremony took place at
the new larger Sartell warming house at the Val Smith Park. The
Sartell skaters will have more room to warm-up while at the ice
rink. The Central Minnesota Builders Association (CMBA), a group
of builders, building material suppliers and building service suppliers
donated time and material to make this a reality for the City of
Sartell.
This warming house was built in memory of Geoff Sagen, Tri-Mor
Homes, Inc. who started the project. Geoff passed
away on January 18, 2003. The 20 x 20 foot building was completed
after Sartell presented a need to the CMBA. The Sartell Mayor, Sartell
Parks Department Representative and the building project leader
along with other interested individuals were present at the ribbon
cutting.
The CMBA recognizes that more can be accomplished by using all
of its resources and collaborating on projects that have already
been identified as having value to the community. The CMBA has been
actively improving our communities through involvement with the
parks and recreation departments for over 30 years.
