During the Chamber event at the HomeShow, CMBA presented $3000 to our community; $2000 to the area food shelves ($1000 to Caritas and $1000 to the Salvation Army) and $1000 to Habitat for Humanity.

The contribution was made in March, Minnesota Food Share Month, since matching funds are received throughout the year from Minnesota Food Share based on receipts in March.

"Our March Minnesota Food Share Month was a success because of people like you. Your donation was greatly appreciated and will help us feed approximately 125 people each day at lunch and also go toward the approximately 30,000 lbs of food given out each month through our Food Shelf," Major Manuel Madrid, Jr.

CMBA makes donatations of money to Habitat for Humanity plus CMBA members donation countless hours of labor and product.

Since 1990, CMBA was instrumental in collecting over 45 tons of food for the areas food shelves and donated approximately $51,000 in cash contributions, and $21,000 to Habitat for Humanity.
