Doris Elverud, Leighton Broadcasting

Doris Elverud, Leighton Broadcasting has been unanimously selected as this year’s Associate of the Year by the builders serving on the Board of Directors for her unbelievable commitment of time and talent over the past year in making CMBA special events memorable experiences.
One of Doris’s main achievements was taking on the first ever Casino Night held in May. With her direction and strong committee, the event was a fun entertaining evening that raised funds for the CMBA Spike Club.
Doris and her committee turned the Civic Center into a holiday wonderland for the Christmas Holiday Party and increased the attendance to the highest level ever with 517 people attending.
Also, Doris has transformed the same old CMBA picnics held in June to a fun themed event, 2006 being the Disco 70’s.
Not all is fun and games for Doris. She currently serves on the CMBA Board of Directors to help decide important issues that govern this association. She chaired the Builders’ Expo from 1998-2001 and again in 2004. She currently serves as chair of the Special Events / Programs Committee. Doris is a recipient of the 1999 and 2004 CMBA Associate of the Year award.
As a sales representative of Leighton Broadcasting, Doris has been active in the CMBA as far back as 1992.
Doris is known for her leadership, professionalism, creativity, and positive uplifting and outgoing personality. In addition to being a great team player, Doris is a genuine caring individual. Congratulations to Doris, the 2006 Associate of the Year!
